This show took Kampala by storm. It was as if the singers were running for the president of the land and not just another angle of pulling massive crowds for a concert. But pull massive crowds they did. Bobi Wine with his entire Fire Base Crew came in a Pioneer Easy Bus UAR 581J followed by Bebe Cool ten minutes later who came in his Hummer with a military pickup ahead of it clearing the way.
Bebe Cool was the first to perform according to plan followed by Bobi Wine. Bebe almost lost the battle but the decision to sing live at the instigation of Bobi’s fans scored him high points. He performed all his popular songs as Bobi did just half that number. On the other hand Bobi Wine chose to turn the concert into a verbal and personal attack on Bebe Cool prompting fans to boo him off stage.
The atmosphere got from jovial to almost violent and the police had no choice but to stop the concert. Bobi defied police orders to leave the stage so Bebe Cool being the bigger man simply granted him the win for the sake of having peace. If points were being awarded for poise, showmanship, maturity and connection with the fans Bebe definitely emerged winner.
