Fyonna Nsubuga gears up for Kigunda

Diva Fyonna Nsubuga is set for a guest performance at Simba’s  Kigunda festival on 1st July in Kampala. According to the Kigunda programme manager she will perform her album theme song Ndikulinda and the heart touching song of Omuyaye asigala muyaye.

Sources within Kampala suggest that diva Fyonna is gaining a fan base and many are wondering if she will stay in Kampala to continue showcasing her unique style of music. Fyonna is a UK based artist signed to UK Triumph Music Group as artist/songwriter who released her album Ndikulinda (New chapter) on 1st March 2012 that included Uganda cranes song.

She recently stunned fans when she performed at Namboole Stadium by singing both anthems of Uganda and Congo, a phenomenon that left the Congolese footballers wondering if she was Congolese and not Uganda.  As earlier planned, Fyonna could not lead the anthems on the Cranes vs. Senegal game as the match commissioner from Egypt pointed out that FIFA rules did not allow individuals to perform both anthems in qualifier matches. This was said during a Pre-Match FUFA meeting in Mengo.

This meant that Fyonna had to wait for another week to fulfill her dream. At the Uganda VS Congo match, Uganda amazingly made the best ever win in Namboole Stadium with 4 goals against 0 of the Congolese opponents.
